Privacy Notice

Summary

The Kleptopedia knowledge base is a static informational site. It does not offer user accounts, comments, forms that collect personal data, or behavioural advertising.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Names, email addresses, or account credentials (there are no accounts).
  • Content of private messages or form submissions (no such forms exist on this site).
  • Payment or financial data (the site itself does not process payments or collect banking or donor details).
  • Precise location data for individuals.

Donations

The site does not process payments or collect donor personal data. Cryptocurrency support is provided via direct on-chain transfers to published wallet addresses. Transaction data exists on the respective public blockchains by design. If an external payment processor is linked in the future, that service operates under its own privacy policy; such links strictly use rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow".

Technical Logs

Standard web-server and CDN logs (e.g. Cloudflare) may record IP address, user-agent, requested URL and timestamp for security, abuse prevention and basic traffic measurement. These logs are processed under the hosting provider’s policies and are not used to build individual behavioural profiles for marketing.

Cookies and Client-Side Storage

The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies that identify individuals. Any strictly necessary technical storage (e.g. language preference) is limited to what is required for the site to function. Readers may clear browser storage at any time.

Third-Party Content

Where the site links to external sources (academic publishers, OCCRP, GI-TOC, official sanctions lists, etc.), those sites operate under their own privacy policies. Following an external link leaves the Kleptopedia site.

Changes

Any material changes to this notice will be published directly on this page.
